Why This Idea Came to Us?
The idea of starting Ghee Bank came from a deeply personal place. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw lives being lost and families struggling, often due to compromised immunity and declining health. It made us reflect on how our ancestors lived—healthier, more resilient lives, supported by pure, unadulterated food like traditional ghee.
We realized how far we’ve drifted from these roots. Mass-produced, adulterated products had replaced the wholesome, natural foods that once nourished our families. That’s when it struck us: we needed to bring back the purity of traditional ghee, made the way it used to be, with care, love, and authenticity.
“House of ghee” was born out of this vision—a small effort to bring health and tradition back into everyday lives, one jar of ghee at a time.
What is Bilona method?
Bilona ghee is a traditional method of making ghee, preserving the pure and natural goodness of milk. Unlike modern methods, where milk is processed quickly, bilona ghee is made by slowly churning curd using a wooden churner. This old-fashioned process ensures that all the vitamins and nutrients of the milk are preserved, which are often lost in faster, industrial methods.

Why A2 Milk ?
At House of Ghee, we take great pride in offering only the finest A2 Cow Ghee—a product made from the milk of indigenous, A2-producing cows. Our ghee is crafted using traditional, time-honored methods, ensuring that every batch retains the pure, nourishing qualities that have been revered for generations.
Why A2 Milk ?
A2 milk comes from cows that naturally produce the A2 protein, a type of beta-casein protein that is easier to digest and gentler on the stomach than the A1 protein found in some other milk. The milk from cows like Gir, Sahiwal, and Tharparkar is rich in A2 protein, offering a healthier alternative to the commonly produced A1 milk. Unlike A1 milk, which is found in hybrid or crossbred cows, A2 milk is free from the potential digestive issues associated with A1. This is why we choose to work with only A2-producing cows—ensuring that our ghee supports your health and well-being.
